We would like to say Happy New Year to all our members and wish you all the best for the year that lies ahead. We hope this will be a year filled with lots more interesting and fun events out and about and we look forward to seeing you all there!
Due to events out of our control, our December AGM has had to be pushed back to February. Members who are interested in nominating someone or themselves for a committee position for 2013 please don’t hesitate to contact us.
What: Bus Trip to Cordeaux Dam for Lunch
When: Sunday 16 December 2012
Departing Central Station, Country Colonnade (near platform 1) at 10am we will travel to Cordeaux Dam picking up at Rockdale Station (southbound on Princes Hwy) approx 10:20am and Waterfall Station at 11am, we will arrive at 12pm for a 1pm BBQ Lunch. We will then depart at 2pm and travel back to Sydney via Picton and then the M5 Motorway.
If time permits, and people are interested we can make a stop in at Trainworks Thirlmere, at your own cost (from $19). CPH Railmotors to Picton and Steam Trains to Buxton are running on this day, for details visit www.trainworks.com.au

WE ALSO INVITE ANYONE TO BRING THEIR OWN BUS ALONG ON THE DAY! Please notify the Secretary by email (mail@hcva.org.au) if you wish to bring your vehicle, it does not need to be a club registered vehicle either. Please note we will not be covering the cost of fuel for your vehicle, and it is at your own expense.

Apologies for the short notice! However we have sorted out our venue for our monthly meetings. They will now be held in association with the Sydney Bus & Truck Museum as a combined meeting.
We ask that you arrive around 7pm if possible for a 7.30pm start time. This Friday.
The location is the Sydney Bus & Truck Museum, Derbyshire Rd Leichhardt. enter via William St depot entrance side.
Agenda will be SBTML Meeting followed by HCVA Meeting then for entertainment a presentation by Greg Travers, followed by a short ride on a Hino BG300 ex Ritchies of Griffith!
Sunday November 10th
Departing railway colonnade, Central Station at 8:30am. A Hino BG300 will transport participants to Illawarra Escape Tours, then to lunch by Lake Illawarra, where Keira Tours will provide the transport to Warrigal Charters. We will then proceed to Shellharbour Tours and then head back to Sydney, arriving around 7-7.30pm.
By now you should have all received your membership renewals in the mail. We do ask that where possible you fill out the form, send payment and return it to us as soon as possible!
If you need to update any of your details, now is the time to do this! Be it change of address, contact number, email address etc.
If you do not wish to renew your membership, we would appreciate you letting us know so that we can remove you from our records to ensure you are not sent any future correspondance, and obviously we will be sad to see you go!
Sadly we have some disappointing news, seemingly the NRMA has suddenly decided to remove its support from basically all classic car clubs and as a result we will no longer be able to use their training rooms at Strathfield for our meetings.
We are working hard to try and find a new location for the interim and for long term! We hope to have a solution soon. I is a shame that NRMA has decided to head in this direction, however their assistance over the years has been quite helpful and much appreciated.

It’s that time of year again where the Australian Model Railway Association of NSW holds it’s Model Railway Exhibition over the September/October long weekend.
The event is once again being held at the Whitlam Leisure Centre in Liverpool and as always the HCVA is happy to help out by providing all weekend shuttle buses to and from Liverpool Station and the Whitlam Leisure Centre.
